Viscosimeter

A viscometer is a physical measuring device for determining viscosity (resistance of a liquid to forced movement). Only when a product is set in motion can a statement be made about the viscosity of a liquid. There are different types of viscometers, which differ in the method of measurement. Contrary to the widespread opinion that only Newtonian fluids can be measured with viscometers, as opposed to rheometers, viscometers are also used to characterize non-Newtonian fluids.
